About Us...The society is one of the best supported camera clubs in the north west of England and is for everyone who enjoys taking photographs whether in digital or traditional film formats from beginner to expert. New members are always welcome. The aim of the society is to provide an outlet for its members’ work and to help them to develop their creative and technical skills including digital enhancement in a friendly and supportive environment. Facilities include a competition standard print viewer, digital image and traditional slide projectors and studio lighting equipment. The society has a lending library of photographic books and magazines. There is also a traditional monochrome darkroom available exclusively to members throughout the year. The detailed programme is available from late August each year both on this website and in printed form from the Guild and local libraries. It includes:
Visitors are most welcome at all meetings - £2.00 per visit. Prospective new members are encouraged to attend as a visitor during the first month of each season before committing to full enrolment when any visitor fees paid will be refunded. In addition to the regular Wednesday meetings, special interest sessions involving discussions, demonstrations and practical work are arranged from time to time usually on Friday evenings at the Guild. |
