ABOUT US >>>

The Society is for everyone who enjoys taking photographs, whether in digital or traditional film formats and from beginner to expert. Its aim is to develop members’ compositional and technical skills (including digital image enhancement) through a programme comprising:

  • Talks and presentations on many aspects of photography
  • Monthly competitions assessed by qualified external judges
  • Exhibitions of members’ images
  • Presentation and discussion of image folios e.g. from the Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union, the London Salon of Photography, etc.
  • Member evenings including demonstrations and advice, special interest discussions, practical sessions and visits to places of photographic interest

The Society has a large darkroom at the Wilmslow Guild, which is available exclusively to its members. It is fully equipped for conventional photographic processing. Please contact committee member Bill Salkeld (01625 531208) to discuss possibilities.
